Lewis Moses New Levels Coaching

Lewis Moses – Founder

New Levels Coaching Ltd was setup by British Middle Distance Runner and Qualified Athletics Coach; Lewis Moses. The company was setup with one clear aim; To Help Runners Find Their True Running Potential. We believe in order to do this a training programme has to focus on ‘more than running’. This philosophy is one that Lewis and his team fully believe in and every training plan reflects this.

Lewis graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc In Applied Sport Science and it was during this time Lewis became an International Athlete as well as a Qualified Coach. In 2012 Lewis won the British Indoor 1500m Title and booked his place on the GB&NI Athletics Team for the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Istanbul, Turkey. He has since progressed to 3000m & 5000m and boasts PB’s of 3.41 -1500m, 7.55 – 3000m and 13.47 – 5000m.

Lewis’ coaching career started in 2007 when he become a UKA Qualified Assistant coach. He undertook work experience alongside British Athletics Endurance Coach; John Nuttall and started to work with the younger generation of athletes on summer athletics camps. Lewis went on to become an Elite Sport Tutor and Mentor for GB’s leading Junior athletes before setting up his online coaching business. He has now worked with 100’s of athletes from around the World both online and at training camps. Most recently Lewis and his wife Gemma were both guest coaches on the Steve Cram training weekends in Rutland and Kielder.

Gemma is also the founder of her own charity; MOVE Charity, which supports children and young people living with cancer, through the power of sport and physical activity.

Gemma became a fully qualified UKA Coach in 2005. She has led on the Star Track Athletics Coaching Camps and was part of a team of coaches who helped bring sports coaching to disadvantaged children in Nigeria. Gemma also studied at Loughborough University where she received a BSc in Sport Science. She went onto work for Nike and continued to pursue her own running career as well as helping to coach local marathon runners.

In 2012 Gemma was diagnosed with stage 3 Burkhitts Lymphoma, a rare form of cancer. She spent the majority of 2012 fighting the disease and used exercise, particularly running, as her control mechanism. In 2013 Gemma went into remission and true to her beliefs, headed straight back into training. She amazingly went onto run personal bests over 1500m, 3000m, 5km, 10km and Half Marathon. Not only this she has represented England on both the track as well as the road and has won numerous national titles with Charnwood Athletics Club.

After her experience with cancer, Gemma was inspired to setup MOVE charity; Gemma wanted to provide a service to children and young people, which the NHS simply can’t provide. She has worked with hundreds of children and young people across the UK and co-founded the initiative ‘5km Your Way – MOVE Against Cancer’ which has been incorporated into local Park Run’s across the UK on the last Saturday of every month. She is an inspirational person and we are proud to have her as part of the team.
