Everything about this course was both professional and accessible. The instructions ahead of the course were clear and gathered performance information to make sure we got the most out of the course . I was really nervous about going as I’m not an elite runner but the tutors/ coaches were friendly, answered everyone’s questions and the ice breaker was actually enlightening instead of being cringeworthy.

The lectures were well delivered and pitched well, with time to ask questions. The track session with lactate testing was an amazing experience- being grouped with others of similar pace to follow the wave lights worked well. The debrief means I will know what to do with my data when I get it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend the workshop to everyone. I learned a lot about performance indicators, inc VO2Max, running economy and thresholds. The theory part was very insightful and useful to anyone wanting to learn more about physiology behind endurance events. The sub max test part was awesome! “I met Lewis and Gemma at a Steve Cram Running Camp Nov 2018, I’m a keen recreational runner (I run so I can eat ) my running had plateaued and really needed some professional guidance to really help see what I’m capable of. Having chatted with Lewis over a beer I approached him to see if he would be interested in helping me. We had an initial call to review my goals, my goal was a big one the VLM 2019!
