This 50k training plan has been designed by New Levels Coaching Trail and Ultra coach: Lewis Moses. Lewis is the founder of NLC and has guided a number of trail and ultra runners to elite UTMB qualification as well as Team GB representation. He has also worked with runners who have progressed from the Half Marathon & Marathon, who have gone onto complete their first ever 50k Ultra.

– This plan incorporates 5-6 runs per week
– It included specific strength & conditioning activities
– An optional 20-25k race is included
– All running sessions are time based
– RPE & Effort is used throughout to help guide training intensities

In addition to the running, we have also included video tutorials to help with strength work, stretching and mobility and we also provide detailed information on other areas such as rate of perceived exertion and fuelling when necessary.

This training plan is flexible, as in you can move things around should you wish to, but we always recommend trying to follow the plan as best as possible. However, we appreciate life sometimes gets in the way and a busy lifestyle might mean you need to move things around.
