JETHRO MCGRAW

Head of Coaching

Jethro is one of the most exciting young coaches in the UK and here at NLC he heads up our coaching team as well as coaching 1:1

He first began his coaching journey as a teenager supporting his sister before quickly progressing through the UKA qualifications and rapidly gaining experience within club, university and performance environments. As a result he already helped hundreds of athletes of all ages and abilities work toward their athletic and running goals.

As a coach he is passionate about; technically moving well; preparing thoughtfully for key races; focussing on the process and exploring the right balance of training for the individual.

Notably Jethro has already helped multiple junior, senior and masters athletes achieve national success and represent their country internationally over track, cross country, fell and road disciplines. In addition he has been performance coach to; sub-4minute milers, masters record holders and has helped athletes in the marathon achieve sub 2:30 to sub 4:30 goals!

Based in Birmingham and with a previous background in logistics Jethro is experienced leading and organising event specific workshops, sessions and camps domestically and abroad!

A fan as well as a student of the sport – Jethro still enjoys training and competing in endurance events across all surfaces.
